At a picturesque venue on Columbus Circle on Monday night, some fortunate Rangers fans saw Brad Richards in his best light.
The Rangers’ veteran center hosted his second annual “Wines of the World” charity event at the impressive Stone Rose Lounge to benefit his Brad Richards Foundation, which support families with children in need, and the lounge was packed with supporters of Richards’ cause, including several of his Ranger teammates.
“To do this two years in a row, and we got a good response last year, but to build on it, it’s great to see, to continue helping kids, bringing kids to (Ranger) games,” Richards said while taking a brief break from playing host. “Everyone here is helping a lot, and this event gives fans a simple, easy way to mingle, to see the guys maybe in a different atmosphere.”
